Good morning fellow Democrats,

 

This linked document explains how we will go about fulfilling our obligation to reorganize the City of Fairfax Democratic Committee (CFDC) per the requirements outlined by the Democratic Party of Virginia’s Party Plan.  This Caucus will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 convening at 8 p.m. in the City Council Work Session Room located in the City of Fairfax City Hall 10455 Armstrong St, Fairfax, VA 22030 for the purpose of electing the new membership of CFDC pursuant to the Democratic Party of Virginia Party Plan.

Election of CFDC officers will follow immediately after the caucus is adjourned.

 

The most important thing for you to understand is that *everyone* must fill out a CFDC Membership Filing form. That is ALL CURRENT MEMBERS as well as registered voters in Fairfax City who wish to participate in this reorganization as members of the CFDC. 

 

The CFDC Membership Filing form must be printed out, filled out, and returned in one of three ways. That return information is printed on the bottom of the form: 
US Mail, US Mail to CFDC, PO Box 3167, Fairfax, VA 22038  
email or in person to Natalia Parmly nparmly@hotmail.com. Your form MUST be received by Wednesday, January 3rd in order to participate in the caucus and election of officers. 

The Caucus will begin at 8 p.m.  Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and no one will be permitted in the room after 8 p.m. We encourage people to arrive prior to 8 p.m. to allow time for credentialing of members.

All participants need to pay the dues of $50 for returning members or $25 for new members.  You can pay your dues via US mail: CFDC, PO Box 3167, Fairfax, VA 22038 - Make check out to CFDC or via ActBlue: https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/cfdc-membership

Those who seek an officer role must notify the Treasurer, Natalia Parmly at nparmly@hotmail.com by 8 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023.  The selection of officers will be done by secret ballot.  All participants need to complete the Declaration of Candidacy for Membership Form.  The form will be available on January 4, 2024 starting at 7:30 p.m.  
 

We will send two more reminders before January 4, 2024, but please take action and return this form as soon as possible.
